Technical Writer工作内容

The Technical writer is responsible for designing, writing, creating, maintaining and updating technical documentation meeting required standards - within standard work documentation and other documents - in close cooperation with functional specialists.

Responsibilities:

*Responsible for taking the technical language and breaking it down into easy to read and understandable language for the target user group

*Ensure alignment in documentation in relation to terminology, detail level, etc.

*Ensure alignment between local and global documentation in relation to terminology, detail level, language etc.

*Ensure relevant target groups has easy access to documentation

*Take part in the continuous improvement of applied tools used in the functional area and support corrective actions in relation to documentation.

Requirement:

*Relevant technical education regarding terminology.

*Skills/experience within document writing and communication (with focus writing - text visual and illustrative visual).

*Skills/experience within relevant IT systems.

*Written Local and English language on a high level.

*Technical Writers working globally should be willing to travel.

Main Job Description:

* The technical information writer / engineer is mainly to compile or edit instruction manuals for our customers and also is responsible of own engineering and design schedules and quality

* Define structure for documentation content together with global team

* Define documentation creation plan together with project team

* Work closely with project team, sourcing, production and aftermarket to collect technical outputs

* Design and write high quality operating, maintenance and repair instructions for product development project.

* Establish good mechanism to maintain the documentation and improve its reusability for future project.

* Other related tasks assigned by the supervisor

Key Requirement:

Experience Requirements

* At least 3 year working experience in documentation, engineering or servicing heavy moving machinery Experience in structural documentation environments and XML technology will be an advantage.

* Engineering background, mechanical, electrical, and other related areas,

* Love documentation work, good at an integrated and summarized; careful and hardworking, proactive; agile thinking clearly;

Education requirements

*Bachelor Degree

Language Requirement:

* Excellent writing skills in both English and Chinese.

* Have good communication and coordination, as well as good sense of team spirit and cooperation.

* Easy to learn and accept new knowledge and study in new area

* Good team work, cooperation skill and attitude

* Eager to sharing with other team member

Preferred knowledge and skills:

* Good command in computer operating; proficient in WORD, PDF, Framemaker, Arbortext, Xmetal，EXCEL, POWERPOINT and other office software;

* Understanding and interest in customer applications

* Analytical problem solving skills

* Ability to question the way we do things in order to find a better way.
