Role Summary/Purpose

The Project Leader is responsible for managing software implementation and service projects. The Project Leader also works with clients and GEHC employees to plan and execute projects on schedule and within budget


Essential Responsibilities

1. Facilitating and coordinating, as well as tracking, of day-to- day activities required to ensure the project is completed on time, successfully, and in a manner consistent with organizational goals, departmental policies, and/or the standard terms and conditions of the contract

2. Writing project plans for assigned projects, which include clear milestones and assignment of project task responsibilities.

3. Develop and manage project within hours and financial budget.

4. Managing client expectations of product and services.

5. Ensuring customer satisfaction.

6. Communicating all of the requirements and commitments (both verbally and in writing) for each project with clients, GEHC staff and management.

7. Maintaining alignment between the project team and external resources.

8. Providing leadership and direction for clients and GEHC personnel responsible for the project.

9. Managing revenue associated with client projects.

10. Acting as an effective team leader for all matrixed staff.

11. Creating project status reports for all assigned clients.

12. Adopting a proactive approach to identify risks to project success and create and maintain a project risk log; develop effective action plans for resolution as early as possible.

13. Maintaining accurate list of customer deliveries with an up to date priority list

Quality Specific Goals:

1. Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position

2. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines

3. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required


Qualifications/Requirements

1. At least 5 years experience in project management

2. Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills

3. Proficient in the soft skills necessary to be an effective project manager

4. Proven leadership and effective decision-making capabilities

5. Negotiation skills/experience

6. Proven project management experience in complex environments

7. Ability to monitor and manages critical path elements of consolidated projects

8. Ability to manage all aspects of customer service, customer satisfaction, and contractual commitments

9. Ability to make formal presentations (internal and external)

10. Experience managing revenue generating projects

Preferred Qualifications:

1. PMI certification is a plus

2. Healthcare Technology Management

3. Change management

4. Results driven

5. Problem resolution and creativity in solution development

6. Vendor implementation experience

7. Experience effectively managing team members

8. Bachelor degree preferred

Role Purpose Statement:
 Professional, management of complex Engineering Projects during the phases of conceptual Design, Engineering, construction and start-up
 Manage both internal and external key stake holders e.g. sub-projects, 3rd party suppliers, sub-project leaders and ensure right qualification level of resources involved in projects
 Support tender processes and negotiations with suppliers, ensure regular and structured communication on project progress and risks to project team and management, ensure proper documentation and quality of different assembly sections
 Support start-up process and successful hand-over to operations
Main Accountabilities:
 Deploy professional project management tools and skills to manage complex Engineering projects e.g. development of a new site for ink manufacturing in China
 Ensure adequate staffing of project team with the right level of qualification in key disciplines required and define clear roles and responsibilities for team members
 Manage and support project team members in carrying out their respective tasks and validate results
 Deliver the budgeted project results regarding technical functionality, budget and time lines
 Implement Siegwerk engineering standards and procedures where applicable within all projects and ensure competitiveness of technical standards according to local requirements
 Technical evaluation of proposed solutions and validation of CAPEX budgets of sub-projects projects
 Monitor project progress and risks and define corrective actions, if needed
 Strongly support start-up phase of projects and successful hand-over to operations
 Benchmarking, sharing and implementation of best practises within the SCM organization from the engineering point of view in consideration of local needs
 Cooperation with Global SCM Development, Regional & Local SCM, Technology, Finance and Purchasing Indirect
 Act as sparring partner and business partner for the SCM Management and local plants.
 Develop high performing /professional Global Engineering Team

Requirement:
 University degree (engineering, or similar degree)
 10 years comprehensive experience in engineering (printing ink industry, coatings, or similar industry) and managing projects
 Strong project and process management experience (Engineering projects in the range of RBN 210m – RBN 350m, preferably development and construction of new sites)
 Experience with western based companies
 Good English language skills
 Ideal candidate has the potential taking over the operational SCM role after start-up of new site
