Senior Associate (SA) work in an international environment, conduct in-depth and hypothesis-driven approaches to enhance profit for Fortune 500 companies. They are responsible for structuring analytics plans, building hypotheses, conducting intensive financial and statistics models and providing tangible solutions. In accordance with our team based approach on project delivery, they are involved in the entire project life-cycle from project proposal, planning and execution to delivery and implementation. Their responsibilities can include:
§ Closely working with partners, project managers, and clients peers to solve business problems, deliver profit-enhancements solutions, and execute implementation plans, etc.
§ Actively involving client interviewing, business problem defining, and hypothesis generation
§ Owning a specific work stream within a project where they are challenged to think a problem to completion
§ Contributing in structuring complex problems for the team and drive the analysis in the right direction based on direction from managers and partners
§ Participating in clients meetings and maintain client relationships under guidance of partners and project managers
§ Manage the work of BAs ensuring quality and providing direction if needed
§ Contributing to firm develop activities such as training, knowledge development, etc.
Requirements:
§ Excellent oral and written English skills, able to work in an international environment
§ 2+ years experience in consulting, analytics firms or banking/ insurance corporations
§ Experience in customer life-time value management, risk management, analytic marketing, procurement management, cost reduction is a plus
§ Strong analytical ability and logical thinking
§ Energetic, very eager and capable to learn fast
§ Willingness to travel (we have client locations in multiple cities)
§ High level of integrity and responsibility towards work
§ Strong team spirit
Position Overview
The Senior Associate will work directly with clients, serving as their specialized client service contact while also actively assisting in the growth and development of the team’s business. The Senior Associate designs and facilitates the customized research solutions that our clients request, creating innovative solutions for each client assignment. Additionally, responsible for working as a team to contribute to GLG’s event product which includes Live Meetings, Webcasts, and Teleconferences.
Key Responsibilities:
GLG Senior Associate in our client-facing team is responsible for:
Facilitating educational interactions between members of the GLG expert network and our clients, to enable our clients to make more informed and confident investment decisions. Senior Associate is tasked with fulfilling time sensitive research requests by analyzing client requests, and building and qualifying primary populations of topic experts. Most GLG client – expert interactions consist of telephone consultations but also may consist of surveys, research travel programs, and in-depth engagements.
Programming live meetings. Senior Associate is responsible for organizing and hosting small group conversations between GLG experts and GLG clients.
Enhancing the GLG Councils. Developing relationships with GLG’s most respected thought leaders and KOLs in the Technology, Media and Telecom sector, as well as recruiting new senior executives and leading consultants into the GLG Councils through research, networking, and direct outreach.
Growing GLG client relationships. Developing relationships with GLG clients, who are primarily lead investment professionals & multinational corporations across Asia. This relationship development will stem from in-person client meets, project execution, and telephone interactions.
Team-wide collaboration. The Senior Associate is expected to work closely with our Sales and Business Development team and other sector-specialized Associates to develop customized products for GLG clients.

Passion for financial industry
Bachelor’s degree, or above
3 years and above of work experiences as client-facing or Analyst roles in relevant industries such as banking, business services, market research, consultancies and financial services, etc., plus significant ongoing curiosity about trends and personalities in the project-related sector.
Demonstrated performance and business judgment, in some or all of the following areas:
Sales, negotiation, or networking with high-end professionals; and/or
Business development, corporate development, product development, or
Product management.
Excellent communication skills over the telephone, e-mail, and in-person and fluent in English
Ability to identify best match/solution of requests/questions, to manage cold calls, and to handle increasing responsibility over time
Successful track record working in a team environment
Ability to multi-task and prioritize activities effectively, while ensuring a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
