要求A

Job Title: Technical Director 

Report to: Managing Director China

Job Location: Suzhou/China


Conceptual idea:

The Technical Director should plan and execute The Company China Technical & Operations strategy which in line with approved The Company China Business Stragety, to actively support and contribute in serving local market/customer with open-minded and result orientated thinking. Work very closely with Managing Director China and COO in the headquarter to ensure overall annual defined KPI’s from Operation site will be reached, and reduce material costs, improve production efficiency on a annual basis under a systematic approach.


Main Tasks:


1. Plant Management

- Make sure the entire manufacturing process and management system will fully comply with relevant Chinese law and regulations.

- Be responsible for daily operations of the plant and overall coordination of plant activities. control to make sure achieve all the key KPIs: Delivery Reliability/Ability, Reduce Cycle Time, Production Cost, Reach of stock, Scrap cost etc.

- Lead Production/material planning, purchasing. Use creative methodology to balance sales forecast/customer orders with inventory level, to achieve best delivery time with lowest production cost and reasonable stock level. 

- Responsible for warehouse management, make sure FIFO procedure will be planned and implemented, cycle stock take will be used during the fiscal year to make sure stock take lose by the end of fiscal year will be reduced to minimum.

- Lead facility management for the whole plant building, to make sure no lose of production time due to break down of any facility. A system should be established for facility management including preventive actions and maintenance plan.

- Take onwership to initiate of Environmental, Health, Safety, Security (EHSS) Management handbook and set goals to meet all Chinese law and Group company requirements.

- Ensures the plant meets or exceeds production efficiency goals by introduce 5S, Lean manufacturing policy, make sure continue improvement actions will be planned and executed.


2.   Strategic Sourcing Management

- Responsible as main driving force in China for global sourcing   activities

- Lead and manage   local sourcing team, establish a local supplier recruiting, evaluation and   development procedure.

- Ensures annual   global sourcing targets will be achieved from China side.


3. Technical & Engineering Management

- Responsible for Technical support and decision taking during daily production as well as sales support.

- Lead local industrial engineering, take decision by mutual discussion and agreement with headquarter.

- Responsible to define local R&D concept by mutual agreement with headquarter, establish and lead the local R&D team, to ensure defined projects in different engineering level (1-3) will be successfully managed and therefore to meet the growth demand for The Company China and The Company Group.

- Lead and take ownership for all Technical & Production related project management within the scope which defined by Project Sponsor. 


4.   Training and Develop Employees

-  Accomplishes employee development objectives by recruiting, selecting,   training, assigning, disciplining employees, communicating job expectations,   planning, monitoring, appraising and reviewing job contributions.

-    Willing to learn and understand   Chinese employees behaviour in the company, motivate employees to keep them   happy in the work and be proud of working for The Company.

-  Find key staffs from Technical and Operation department, Develop these   staffs into Specialist or Management level to support The Company China in   long term development.


5.   Deputy Function

- Work as deputy function when Managing Director China is on business   trip or holidays;


Personality:

-  Ability to seamlessly work across a broad range of functions internal within The Company China as well as within the group company.

-  Open-minded with “can-do” attitude. Energetic with the ability to inspire a sense of urgency in others.

-  Very good organization ability and communication skills in an international environment, preferred to have rich experience in cross cultural background.

-  Experience in establishing and maintaining a disciplined manufacturing operation with a focus on delivering consistent results with a respect for the individual employee

-  Demonstrated ability to develop and promote subordinates

Extremely self-motivated and self-directed


Professional requirements:

-  At least 15+ years of proven professional experience in technical challenging producing branch preferably in both Germany and China and in mechanical engineering business

-  Highly skilled engineer background with master or diploma level in engineering, preferable mechanical engineering, mechatronics, automation, or similar

-  Proven record of lean production experience with solid leadership experience is a must

-  Proven experience in leading Chinese sourcing team and work closely with German headquarter to achieve savings is a must

-  Experience in leading Chinese R&D team and develop local market needed products is a plus

-  Experience in modern production system (Lean, Kaizen, Kanban, 5S, 6-Sigma, TPM)

-  Motivated to constantly improve the quality and lean production on site

-  Fluent in English, native German speaking will be preferred

Able to live and work in China for minimum 5 years

Job Description

  • Involved in the analysis, creative concept, design, production and realization of the events.
  • Technical supervision.
  • Logistics and coordination of all technical aspects (lighting, sound, staging).
  • Sites and venues technical surveys.
  • Ensure continuous improvement and optimal production solutions for new and existing materials and concepts.
  • Develop agendas/time-lines/rundowns
  • Acts as primary individual responsible for managing event from load-in to load-out.
  • CAD and floor plan design and drawing.
  • Budget Preparation in case.
  • Supervise production technical coordinators and freelancers.
  • Post event reporting and evaluation.
The Successful Applicant

  • Solid knowledge and skill in technical discipline event construction, structural engineering, fabrication materials, audio, lighting, video, scenery, printing.
  • At least 5 years of events management background
  • At least 2 years of luxury events management experience.
  • Multi-tasker who thrives under pressure.
  • Must be willing to travel including nights and weekends.
  • Extremely organized, with an eye for detail.
  • Must be able to self manage project time-lines and deadlines.
  • Strong team spirit; good conflict manager; results driven; creative problem-solver
  • Good taste, flexible, and cost-efficient solutions as well as structures that can be quickly built and dismantled
  • Portfolio of completed relevant luxury projects.
  • Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and contracting procedures, as well as contractual and liability issues.
  • Ability to motivate staff through leadership and expertise.
  • Fluent English and Chinese OR French and Chinese OR French and English (written & spoken).
  • Experiences working in Shanghai and Beijing Venues a plus.
