Director- Oncology Commercial Business

POSITION SUMMARY
• To assume joint responsibility for Oncology Commercial Business in China
• To provide leadership toward the achievement of the company’s vision, strategy and objectives
• To implement the objectives of the company
• To support structure of the business for maximum performance
• To align the organization - client service, product delivery and people

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Development of Client relationships:
• Grow business with clients, build new client relationships and generate new business with key clients - Multi-national relationship progress; locally and globally plus key large local targets
• Ensure a high level of client satisfaction and thus repeat business
• Develop, own and implement Strategic Growth (Client) Plans
• Implementing a client contact strategy to ensure continued engagement with our most important clients, actively developing a corporate level relationship and developing levels of trust in us as an organisation and our thinking
Financial management:
• Responsibility for accurate generation and achievement of agreed team and client targets
• Jointly assume overall responsibility for the growth and profitability of Country P&L health with Country General Manager
• Develop Profitable Business Growth (e.g. revenue, profit before tax, client mix, work and product profile)
• Deliver Margin (e.g. Operating, conversion, efficiency)
• Enable the generation of revenue and gross margin by others
• Short- and mid-range business planning and budgeting
• Business development (e.g. acquisition)
• Key competitor analysis and monitoring
• Manage revenue streams and forecasting with Finance
Consistency of Project Delivery:
• Ensure country delivers excellence to clients consistently
• Introduce new tools/ approaches to clients
• Ensure appropriate access to Cerner Enviza tools with relevant training to increase confidence in delivering excellence.
• Process efficiencies/protocols- Review and implement processes/ways of working to drive business change and efficiency, ensuring delivery in the most time and cost efficient way
Talent Management:
• Act as a coach or mentor
• Identify talent key to business growth
• Drive retention programs specific to high level performers
• Create opportunities for others to grow and develop
• Create next generation of leaders
• Invest personally in talent development
• Use a mix of skills to build a team, build high performance teams
Leadership, team and people management:
• Be a Leader and role model
• Inspires innovation/ creativity
• Hire, develop, retain and motivate high quality people
• Develop the team’s knowledge and coach them in the use of analytical skills to conduct high quality research
• Recognize team and individual achievement (including client feedback)
• Ensure all direct reports have objectives and development plans that support company strategy
• Monitor performance and objectives
• Drive overall employee engagement locally



KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge areas and experience:
• Masters or PhD in Medical,Biotech,public Health, or other related disciplines
• At least 10+Years market research or consulting or marketing business experience, with 5+ years in a mid-senior management position with more than 5M+ RMB

• Strong Marketing (research) and Oncology knowledge
• High level of business/client understanding and insight
• Gravitas and authority within the industry
• Experience in working closely with cross-functional teams especially business and senior management
• Strong knowledge of Healthcare Industry would be of great advantage.
• A Trusted Advisor to clients – a good listener and inventive problem-solver
• Take responsible for whole process leadership from Business develop, proposal and report delivery

• Confident sales/ negotiation/ persuasion skills with commercial orientation
• Good communication and social skills, gravitas and authority with clients
